Hello Team,
Would you please advise what these white deposits in my Hibiscus plant are and what should be done to get rid of them, how this will affect the plant?
Thanks
Balaji.

Hi @balaji27,
It's tough to say with 100% certainty because I can't zoom in close enough to see, but it seems pretty likely that you are dealing with cottony cushion scale, which is a type of small white scale insect.
You should start by physically removing as many of them as possible with a damp cloth, then disposing of them.
You can then spray your hibiscus with Yates Scale Gun, ensuring you get good coverage on both the top and bottom of the leaf.
After application, monitor the plant for any issues and repeat if necessary.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
Hello @JacobZ - Thanks for your prompt response and advice. I will remove them as instructed and use the spray. I herewith attached the zoomed-in photos for your reference.
Thanks Balaji.
Hi @balaji27,
That helps to confirm my suspicions. I am confident that they are scale insects.
You can treat them as I mentioned above.
