Hi brains trust,
My kitchen has no dishwasher, and I am thinking of installing a narrow 45cm one into it as we have limited space, similar to the one here: https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/haier-45cm-compact-freestanding-dishwasher-silver-hdw10f1s1?cq_src=go...

I feel like the best place to install the dishwasher is on the third cupboard door under the sink (the very right one) - not sure if that would work logistically though!
Does anyone have any tips/tricks on the best way to achieve this as a DIY, or am I best to contact a professional to do this? I am a beginner DIYer, and have no experience working with wood. I'm guessing I'll have to cut out parts of the cabinet to achieve this.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your kitchen.
Allow me to give you a bird's eye view of what needs to happen. Measurements will need to be made to make sure that there is enough space for the dishwasher to fit in. The door and cabinet will need to removed. If there is no cabinet and they are built as a single cabinet set, then it will be necessary to modify the cabinets that will be cut. They will need to be finished off and the doors properly reattached. If you've not done any cabinet making this will then this will be your first challenge.
The addition of new tapware and plumbing of the outlet will need to be accomplished by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance. If there is no electrical power point for the dishwasher you will also need the services of an electrician to put in a proper power point for the machine. What is unknown is the possibility that the sink might need to be moved or modified due to space limitations.
If you've not attempted anything this extensive, I suggest engaging the services of a handy person or a kitchen installer to help you modify your kitchen. Can the dishwasher be installed? Yes, on the condition that there is enough space. Once you've accomplished your preliminary measurements, you'll have a much better idea if there is enough space for the dishwasher.
