Old kitchen taps

Hi any advice please. We are moving in another rental home and there kitchen tap is old and wall mounted (will include photo). Is there a mixer tap we can connect on it without removing the old tap as the landlord don't want it to be replaced. Thank you

Re: Old kitchen taps

Hi @blitz19,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

Unfortunately, there is no way to swap these taps for a mixer tap without the assistance of a plumber.

Two tap setups have separate hot and cold pipes that each rise independently to their own tap. A mixer tap needs both the hot and cold pipes to be brought together at one point under the tap body.

Unfortunately, the only way you could install a mixer tap in this situation is with the assistance of a plumber, which would require your landlord to be on board.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

Jacob
