Sealing on concrete floor required to stop ants getting in

Got an issue with ants where they seem to be coming in from a hole on the floor where the surface is concrete.

And/or the ants could be coming through the skirting

What is the best filler to use?

I already have this and I know its for roof and gutters but would it do the job? https://www.bunnings.com.au/selleys-300g-surfmist-roof-and-gutter-silicone-waterproof-sealant_p12301...

if not what do you recommend?

Hi @raffi,

It looks like there is a bit of a chip in the concrete, is that correct?

If so, then you would start by filling in the chip with a repair mortar such as this Dunlop Ardit Rapidset Repair Mortar.

After it has set, you can seal the seam against the timber with a silicone sealant such as Sika 310ml Grey Concrete Sikaflex Pro+ Polyurethane Sealant.

Check out How To Silicone a Gap for some guidance.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
