When dealing with white water marks on a darker grey aluminium façade, even the best pressure washer will not be particularly effective in removing them. High-pressure water is excellent for blasting away loose dirt, dust, and surface grime, but it has very little effect on mineral deposits or staining that has already bonded to the metal surface.
These white marks are often the result of hard water deposits, oxidation, or a reaction between the aluminium and environmental elements. Once they’ve set in, they won’t simply wash away with force. In fact, applying too much pressure risks damaging the protective coating or finish on the aluminium, leaving it more vulnerable to corrosion or further staining.
That’s why, rather than investing in a pressure washer for this specific issue, you may be better off seeking the services of a professional façade cleaning company. They’ll have access to specialist cleaning products and techniques, such as non-abrasive chemical treatments and controlled washing systems, designed to safely remove stains without harming the underlying surface.
That being said, for general cleaning and maintenance of the façade, a high-pressure washer is still very useful for removing dust, cobwebs, and surface dirt.
