Can I use pool fencing for a balcony?

can anyone tell me why I cannot use Bunnings pool fencing for a balcony compared with the Bunnings balustrade it is less than half the cost

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, no, balustrade panels can't be used as pool fencing as they don't meet the height requirements.

In Victoria, pool fences must be a minimum of 1.2m tall.

You will have to use something like this ProtectorAl 2400 x 1200mm Black Aluminium Flat Top Pool Fence Panel.
