Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @1Roger. It's splendid to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about oiling a fence.
A treated timber fence can definitely be painted with oil, but it’s important that the timber is completely dry before you apply it. Oiling damp timber or applying it when rain is expected can prevent the oil from penetrating properly and may lead to patchy results. Ideally, you want a full day of dry weather before application and at least one clear day afterwards to allow the oil to cure. If you can share a bit more detail about what you’re hoping to achieve, we can offer more tailored advice.
