Am looking for a photo of a completed crank shaft to fix. Weve had the umbrella less than a year. We didnt use it in heavy winds, opened up for this summer and the crank shaft is broken
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @AuntyVern. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about assembling an umbrella.
Are you looking for a technical drawing of the crankshaft assembly, or a photo showing how it all goes together? Unfortunately, we don’t have access to that sort of reference.
Since your Coolaroo Avoca umbrella is less than a year old, it should still be covered under warranty. In this case, the best and simplest solution is to take it back to the store where you purchased it along with your receipt and have it replaced. There really shouldn’t be any need to attempt a repair on the crankshaft yourself for a product that’s still within its warranty period, and the store should be able to swap it over for you without issue.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Mitchell, i really hate the waste of such a thing. Am sick ov bringing things back... I googled another persons crank shaft and was able to repair as nothing actually broken. My thoughts are, that they over greased the casing and a bit of force pulled it apart. Works like a treat. Forgot to mention.. im handy and prefer to meddle first, as long as warranty not broken.
