How to build timber bench seats?

How should I make this kind of sitting in my backyard? Can you help me with a frame diagram

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

This style of outdoor seating is usually made using timber sleepers and merbau decking.

The internal frame beneath the decking boards will look something like this.

 

The frame is more or less the same as a raised garden bed, with some supports on the upper level that are spaced at no more than 450mm apart to support the decking boards.

Check out How To Build a Raised Garden Bed With Sleepers for an example of how a garden bed is constructed.

This basic design could be customised to fit with almost all situations.
