Hi @yh18,

That maybe just mold and mildew try a spray and wipe with something like Nifty and let us know the result.

Re: how to get rid of this ?

Hi @yh18,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is wonderful to have you with us.

Like @AlanM52, I believe it is either mould or mildew.

I'd start by putting on a mask, as you won't want to breathe it in if it becomes airborne. I'd then suggest spraying it with a mould killer, then allowing it to sit in line with the instructions, while it does its thing and kills the mould.

After letting it sit, you could then wet it to loosen it up, then scrub it off with a scrubbing tool like this Ryobi 18V ONE+ Telescopic Pole Scrubber, or a scrubbing brush.

Let me know what you think, and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Re: how to get rid of this ?

Thank you

I’ve bought a mould killer spray from local super market

once I spray on it and leave it on for however the instruction says

can I just use a water hose and spray on it and would it be strong enough to wipe off

Re: how to get rid of this ?

Hi @yh18,

It depends on how caked on it is. It certainly can't hurt to give it a try.

With the mould killer spray, I'd just give it a test in a small area first, as they usually contain bleach, which can alter the colour of the gutter. Best to check first before you commit to the whole gutter.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
