Hi! There is a gap right under the corner of my roof where you can see the insulation from the outside. It looks like the roof sheet was too short. Any ideas how to seal this gap?
Hello @julius38sg
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your roof gap.
It is a bit of a mystery why there is such a large gap placed on the corner of your roofing structure. Generally speaking, the gap can be covered with galvanized sheeting riveted into place and silicone applied to the joints to prevent leaks.
However, I propose engaging the services of a roofing professional and asking them if the gap serves any purpose and can it be covered up? It would technically be advisable to get a professional to seal that gap so that the job is covered under a warranty and can be claimed in your insurance.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1, @Nailbag and @AlanM52 for their recommendations.

Good Evening @julius38sg
I was about to offer an idea on how to seal it from possums/birds but @EricL's points are a lot more important. I would certainly engage a professional to find out why/if its acceptable before attempting anything yourself. Insurance wise for coverage down the track would be high on my list foir doing it that way.
The idea I had was actually a rolled section of small chicken wire wedged into the gap. It wouldnt stop water (but figure as you havnt mentioned water issues they arnt happening) but would stop a bunch or wildlife that might want to share house with you.

Hi @julius38sg
Great spotting as this is a large opening for not only animals, but even more concerning is water ingress which has the potential to cause serious expensive damage.
I agree with @EricL and get in a plumber who specialises in roofing. They need to make up a full cover custom flashing.
It shouldn't be too expensive and I would make this a high-priority job.
