How to fix broken ground-level drainage pipes?

What can be done to fix these? They were rather high when put in and have been hit with a lawnmower a bit.
Need some advice. My kids get stuck in there and hurt their legs.
Thanks

Re: How to fix broken ground-level drainage pipes?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mattpea. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about pipe grates.

Since the drainage fitting is now damaged, you will need a drainage plumber to come in and fix them. The plumber would cut off the existing fitting at the top of the pipe and reduce the pipe’s height slightly so that the grate sits just below the level of your grass. They would then reinstall a new grate on top of the pipe. Make sure they adjust the height carefully so it sits safely and neatly in your lawn, which will prevent trips and injuries, without the need to redo all the surrounding landscaping.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
