How to fix cracked downpipe?

Hi Bunnings community, 

I’ve discovered a crack on the lower section of my down pipe. Is there a short term fix for this before I seek replacement of the whole pipe? Thanks as always

Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing works need to be carried out by the registered plumber for safety and compliance.

I propose using T-Rex 50mm x 1.5m Strong Waterproofing Tape on the surface of the pipe and cracked section at the bottom. Mys best advice is to make sure the surface is free of dust and debris before you apply the tape.
