How to fix dragging screen door?

Can anyone give me tips of fixing my screen door that drags on the ground when it’s open about half way?

Hi @alexreed092,

 

If you have a look at the gap at the top of the door, you'll notice that it is much narrower on the hinge side of the door than on the latch side.

 

 

This tells me that the door is very slightly out of square with the frame.

 

This can be adjusted using a technique where you knock the pin out of the hinge, then use an adjustable wrench to bend the hinge knuckles, then reinstall the hinge pin. This slight adjustment will 

 

It is a bit difficult to explain the process, and we do not have a video in the Bunnings network that I can show you, but if you jump on YouTube and look for "bending hinges to adjust door", there will be tutorials that you can have a look at.

 

Looking at the gaps around the door, it seems likely you'd need to adjust the top two hinges to pull the top of the door over towards the hinge side of the frame.
