The Bunnings Workshop community can help with your home improvement projects.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @kavi. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about improving the front of your home.
Before diving into suggestions, it would help to know what specifically you don’t like about the area or what you’d like to achieve. Are there particular features that bother you, or is it more about creating a certain style or feel? For example, are you thinking about adding colour, plants, pathways, or changing some of the hardscaping?
From the photo you’ve shared, the front yard is neat and tidy, which is a great starting point. There are plenty of options to enhance it, but the best improvements will depend on your personal preferences and goals. If you’ve seen any inspirational images or styles you like, sharing those would really help narrow down practical ideas. Starting with the areas that bug you most will let you focus on impactful changes first, and our community can offer plenty of creative suggestions from there. You might like to read through our Top 10 most popular front yard projects for some ideas.
I will also tag in some of our helpful members @2Belindas, @LaCasaDIY and @EleventhCoastal to see if they have any thoughts.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Just a few initial thoughts to start with @kavi
Nailbag
Good Evening @kavi
You do have a nice tidy yard
and as @Nailbag has mentioned the green is dated, As soon as I saw the green trim I thought, man that would look nicer as white. Pretty much every heritage green I would paint white, right down to the roller door to the garage.
@EricL 's suggestion of repainting the path would give it new life, I was thinking of some square or rectangle stepping stones around to the side fence.
With the backchips, you could replace them with white pebbles as that orange look is a bit bright.
I thought of a white picket fence and gate right at the front bvut not sure if it would be too much (getting towards the white saturation point)
Spray Painting the colourbond fence a grey would also change the feel of the yard in a big way.
And my final thought
Was for a liquid amber, they will get big but you can top the tree every two years to keep it managable. I have two and thats how I maintain them. Beautiful for privacy and cooling shade plus the colours in Autumn are intense. It would look good against white
Maybe plant it half way up teh yard,m a third in from the fence. And a Pencil style version.
