I am planning to use the DIY bin storage unit. But I am having a problem with the width. The top boards are 2079 - so this implies the width. However when I add up the individual parts I make it 2178. This is made up of three bin areas that are 620 wide (1860 ) plus 4 frames (2 ends and 2 middles) which are 70 wide (280) plus 2 cladding of 19mm (38). I also believe the side cladding is 870 and not 890.
My reasons for checking this to be able to scale it down for 2 bins and working out where the 3 bin or the 2 bin can fit.
Thank you.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @TonyFW. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about building bin storage.
We've reviewed the guide and agree that the top merbau planks should probably have been 2179mm, not 2079mm. We can't see a reason for the extra millimetre, so it should be precisely 2178 mm. That makes sense given the sizing of the frame. Also, you're correct that the side cladding should be 870mm to match the frame and not 890mm.
Many thanks for bringing this to our attention, and we'll have our team correct the article.
