Hi, We are putting Suntuf clear corrugated polycarbonate sheets on a large greenhouse for the exterior walls. We also have Laserlite one shot roofing screws.
I need help with two questions please.
1. can the Laserlite one shot screws be used in the valleys on the walls, or will the cutting piece make them not fix the sheet close enough?
2. Do the screws definitely have to go in the valleys on walls or can they be screwed into the raised orb?
thanks, Aine.
Hello @Aine
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your Suntuff poly sheets.
The Laserlite one shot roofing screws are designed for roofing installation that's why it has a cutting piece that drills a large hole. When used as is on a vertical installation that large hole becomes a liability instead of an asset. If you are using the Laserlite screws for vertical installation, I suggest removing the cutting piece and just using the screw without it. This will create just a small hole which will hold the panel in place.
In regards to its installation I recommend installing it on the valley rather on the raised section of the sheet.
