Hi All,
Any advice would be great on how to install a new pvc drainpipe. (See below images) I have removed an old metal drainpipe which has rusted and would like to replace with a new PVC option.
Can I just use an adapter to connect the rectangular gutter drop section with a new circular PVC pipe? If so what adaptor should I use?
Measurements of metal gutter drop is 95x45mm (height 65mm).
Thanks
Hello @Simeon1
Just a friendly reminder that any plumbing work to be carried out must be done by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.
Generally speaking, a Holman 100 x 80 x 90mm PVC Stormwater Downpipe Adaptor is used to covert from a rectangular downpipe to a circular one. It would be better to install a loose adapter such as this one so that there will be no chance of getting an airlock at the top. I recommend looking at using standard 90mm PVC pipe in combination with Kinetic 90mm DWV Pipe Saddle Clips. Please make sure to use Protek 125ml Type N Blue Cement Solvent to lock all the PVC parts together.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
