How to paint a plastic tub?

I am wanting to repaint laundry tub bowl which is plastic. Best way to ensure paint sticks.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about painting your plastic laundry tub.

Can you paint the surface of your plastic laundry tub? Yes, but it will not last very long as the paint surface is not made to take the abuse from day-to-day use. The paint surface is too soft, and the plastic tub is a flexible medium which means that the paint will peel off. I can only suggest using Bar Keepers Friend 595g Cleanser & Polish Powder to bring back the polish on the tubs surface.

Please remember to wear personal protection such as disposable gloves when using the cleanser.

This is product I use for all my plastic painting projects. Despite average reviews I find it to be very good.
