Hello @Pacificswim
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about painting your bricks.
Please note that I am only referring to the front brown bricks under your window. I don't recommend painting your outdoor brick wall as it will interfere with its natural function.
I suggest washing the surface of your course bricks with water and detergent in combination with a Sabco Bamboo All Purpose Heavy Duty Scrub. This will remove any oil or grease particles that may have settled on the surface of the bricks. Make sure that the surface of the brick is totally dry before you begin painting it. I propose looking at the Dulux 4L Monument Low Sheen Weathershield Exterior Paint - 4L, it is self-priming and comes in a larger 10L can.
I propose a two-person approach when painting the surface of the course bricks. One person paints the surface as thoroughly as possible and the second person to paint the deep crevices that were missed. My best advice is to make sure that the paint is totally cured before you apply the second coat. Please keep in mind that once you paint the brick surface it will be extremely difficult to get it off.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks Eric,
it’s only the dark coloured bricks which are located under the window ledge that I wish to paint. I have another paint question. The security door and window screens n9 longer match the paint trim on the property. I’ve seen on you tube videos that you can pain over the screens. Have you had any experience in regards to this. G
