Hello,
I left the tapes on for far, far too long when I was preparing to paint the door trims. As you can see, it's becoming brittle and scrappy. What's the best way to remove them now? I have tried a few ways:
1. Glitz goo and stain remover, kinda works (that's how it looks scrappy now)
2. White vinegar with warm water.
Neither really works. Would be eternally grateful for any advice. Thanks!
Hi @rocketman,
I would apply some De-Solv-it 125ml Sticky Spot and Stain Remover to the tape and let it sit for 30 minutes. Make sure not to get it on the timberwork. After 30 minutes use a scraper to remove the tape. Ensure you keep the blade flat on the glass so as not to scratch it. Remember your PPE, including safety glasses and cut-resistant gloves.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
