Re: repair footpath expansion joinys

Hello @Ryan1980

I propose digging out a bit of the soil and debris between the footpaths. Once the gap is relatively clean, I propose inserting Moroday 15mm x 5m White Gap Filler Rod at least 5mm past the surface. The purpose of the rod is to prevent the filler from sinking too far into the gap. I recommend using Sika 300ml Concrete Grey Sikaflex 11FC Purform. This will prevent rainwater from entering the footpaths gap.

Re: repair footpath expansion joinys

Hello @Ryan1980

If the expansion foam has totally perished, I suggest doing a bit of an investigation to see how deep the expansion foam is. The replacement piece is known as Sika 10 x 50mm 6m Abelflex Expansion Joint Filler Foam. The old expansion foam is removed and the new one pushed into the gap. Just like the foot path expansion gap, push the foam 5mm past the surface and fill it in with Sika 11FC.
