Where can I bring a Ryobi weed whacker (stringer) for se4rvice. I probably need a new spool head and can't do t myself.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Jerry12. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about replacing a Ryobi line trimmer head.
Most power gardening service centres should be able to help you replace the head on your Ryobi line trimmer. However, they generally don’t stock or order replacement parts directly. If you can provide the model number of your unit, we can help source a compatible replacement head, either through a Special Order or one that’s available in-store.
Once you have the replacement head, you can take it along with your machine to a service repair centre, and they should be able to fit it for you. That said, many Ryobi heads, especially on 36V electric or petrol models, are actually very straightforward to replace yourself. Typically, you just undo the knob on the front (the same way you would when replacing the string), pull the old head off, and push the new head on. Most of the time, it only takes about 30 seconds.
The exact process does depend on the model, so if you provide the model number, we can check which heads are compatible and give more precise guidance on how to replace them.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
