Hi everyone, the wire gate at our new home has seen better days. I’m having trouble finding any info online about how to replace the wire/what products to use. Anyone have any ideas?
Hi @meeganw,
Chain link mesh is usually tied to the frame using tie wire. You can see the remnants of it, particularly along the far edge of the gate.

You can use some bolt cutters to cut the mesh to size, weave the tie wire through the mesh and around the frame, then use some pliers to twist it off and tie it.
There is also the method that our supplier PEAK Chain Link Fencing recommends in their Gates Install Guide, which uses Tension Bars and Tension Bands on the left and right side of the gate, as well as tie wire along the top and bottom of the fence.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
