How to stop pigeons and clean rental balcony?

Hello,

I am looking for suggestions on 2 things

1- My balcony keeps getting flooded by pigeons poop and cleaning it has been hard as there is no water outlet to access water. The nearest water source I have is the kitchen tap (Image attached), but I don’t know what hose and what adapter suits it and will it work?
Does a high pressure cleaner can be attached to the kitchen tap for cleaning? Is it possible ?

2- I want to stop this pigeons entering my balcony as I will be away most of the time to keep them shooing from my balcony. Any suggestions on how to get this done- can i install something like insect net or bird net etc without drilling or damaging the property?

Any help or suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Rental-Balcony Cleaning No Water Outlet & Balcony Coverage From Pigeona

Hello @Such

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your balcony.

For your kitchen tap, I suggest using the Gardena Indoor Tap Adaptor. It is perfectly suited for watering in outdoor areas such as terraces and balconies with no access to a tap. With the Indoor Tap Adaptor, an indoor tap, with either a male or female thread, can be connected to a GARDENA Hose Connector. A standard garden hose with end clip fittings will work with this adapter.

To deter the pigeons from coming back I suggest looking at the bird deterrent products the store offers.

Here are some examples:
