How do I get the 100 or more pigeons to stop invading the yard when she  (mrs) feeds the other birds and the owls no longer work

That sounds like a difficult problem @Ohmygodshesays. What area do you live in? And have you tried not feeding any of the birds to see what happens?

Let me tag @Brad for you as I know he has had lots of experience with birds. Hopefully Brad and other members of the ever-helpful Workshop community can have some suggestions for you.
