Can I get  Shorter Pole Extension for the New POLE PRUNER

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, the Ryobi 18V ONE+ EZ REACH 8” 203mm Pole Pruner R18PPS130 does not have a shorter pole that is compatible with that system.

I'd suggest you head back to the store of purchase and speak with the team, who will be able to assist you with a return.

You could replace it with something like this Ryobi 18V ONE+ 6” 152mm Pruning Saw, which is much easier to manage, although it would not be suitable for work requiring extended reach without a ladder. There are also manual options, such as this Trojan Carbon Steel Pruning Saw or this Saxon Telescopic Pruning Saw, which might be better suited to your situation.

As long as it is in a saleable condition, then it can be returned.

That determination needs to be made by someone who can physically inspect it, though I can't imagine one use would have caused any issues.
