Hi All,
My storm water line of the 1970s built property is blocked with tree roots. I got a plumber to replace a subsection of the line. However, the problem is not yet solved as there are still roots running across the remainder of the line shared by 3 properties.
The plumber(not a drain specialist )tried running the drain snake. However, Two of his attachments got stuck so he suggested to dig up. Wondering if the robotic cutter or hydro better would be a viable option.
thanks
Hi @dhan29,
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
There are solutions, such as a robotic cutter or hydro jetting, that may work, but the situation would need to be assessed to determine if it is a viable option. Specialist drain clearers have cameras that can be sent down the pipes to assess the situation and get a better picture of what they are dealing with.
As we are not able to assess the specific situation, this is a question that would be best directed to a drain clearing specialist. They will be able to assess the situation and quote on the best solution.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
