How to fix gap between wall and aggregate concrete?

Hi team,

There is a gap between the house wall and the concrete crest. What is the best way to fill this gap? Can we use exposed concrete from Bunnings, or do you think silicone will be effective? Please suggest a long-term solution. Thank you

Re: aggregate concrete small patch

Hello @ronit

It appears that the expansion joint filler foam is still in good condition. It's not yet degraded and brittle, I suggest using the Moroday 10mm x 5m White Gap Filler Rod behind the expansion joint filler foam. Push it down to 5mm deep to wedge it between the brick wall and the joint filler foam. I propose using Sika 600ml Concrete Grey Sikaflex 11FC Purform to fill the gap between the brick wall and the joint filler foam.

Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: aggregate concrete small patch

Good Morning @ronit

Thats a no to a solid filler  Its an expansion piece, meant to protect the pathway and the house form the path expanding against a solid surface. @EricL 's recomendation is the way i would deal with it as it provides a nice flexible join.

Re: aggregate concrete small patch

Hi @ronit

And again as with @Dave-1 I would follow @EricL advice on this with the foam and Sika. Though10mm foam may be too thick. If so go the next size down.
