I’m looking to construct an easy assembly outdoor gate size 1metre wide by 2 metres high (preferably merbau or other appropriate timber) I’m a complete newbie and need advice where to source, what to source and building instructions. I liked the gate in the image attached. I live in Melbournes South East

I would recommend you follow the wonderful @Tara86's example that she shared in her much-admired D.I.Y. gate project and start with the Bunnings step-by-step How to build a gate tutorial. I will also embed a video below.
