Re: lime tree

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @mkka. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Citrus care.

It sounds like your lime tree has been well looked after in terms of sunlight, but there are a few factors that could be affecting its flowering and fruiting. Could you tell me a bit more about how you care for it? For example, have you ever used a fertiliser specifically for citrus, or is it just cow manure? While cow manure adds nutrients, citrus trees usually respond better to a balanced fertiliser designed for them, such as a slow-release product like Osmocote, or adding a good layer of compost to improve soil structure.

Another important factor is watering. How often do you water the tree, and is the soil well-draining? Both overwatering and underwatering can impact flowering.

Based on what you’ve shared so far, the main things to check are fertilising with something suitable for citrus, ensuring the soil is healthy and not too compacted, and keeping up a consistent watering routine. Once we know a bit more about your routine, I can give you a more specific plan to encourage flowering.

Here's a helpful guide: Growing citrus plants.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
