Acrylic vapour proof membrane not compatible with wood floor adhesive

We have just painted our cement floors with an acrylic vapour proof membrane, however when we went to start laying the wood floor boards (direct stick) the adhesive instructions say in cannot be used with an acrylic primer (it is a turps clean up adhesive).
Is there something we can paint over the vapour proof membrane that will stop the adhesive interacting with it?

Re: Acrylic vapour proof membrane not compatible with wood floor adhesive

Hi @sarah1joy,

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.

Unfortunately, I am not immediately aware of a product that could be used in this situation.

In situations like this, it is usually best to contact the membrane manufacturer's technical support team for advice, as they will be most aware of the specifics of their product.

As it sounds like there is a chemical incompatibility issue, we need to be fairly specific in our line of questions. If you could advise what product was used, and if they are one of our suppliers, I would be happy to get in touch with them when they reopen tomorrow for their guidance.

Jacob
