How to fill in side of slab?

Hey there, I've just removed a doorway and keen to tidy up/fill in the flaky edge of the slab (see photos). What product(s) should I be looking at? Something like this maybe? Will be running decking up to here.

Thanks for your help!

Re: How to fill in side of slab?

Hi @samh25,

Thank you for your question about fixing the face of a step up in your slab.

Dunlop 5kg Ardit Rapidset Repair Mortar will be good for this application. Start by cleaning the concrete thoroughly with a stiff bristled brush such as this Sabco Bamboo All Purpose Heavy Duty Scrub Brush

Once clean, apply a bond coat of BondCrete, mixing as per the manufacturer's instructions. This will act as a primer, creating better adhesion between the repair mortar and the existing concrete.

Once the bond coat has dried, use a Brick Trowel to apply and shape the mortar to the desired finish.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
