How to replace a non-standard sized door?

Hi All

I need to replace an internal door, the dimensions are 2040 x 815 x 35, it seems the closest standard size (and the size Bunnings stock) is 2040 x 820 x 35.

I'm interested if I have any options without having to take drastic action by modifying the frame etc.

It looks like the Hume Oakfield or Corinthian Stanford are the closest matches to what I currently have.

Appreciate any advice.

The current width of the door is actually closer to 817 mm...

Hello @Cronessa

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your door.

The good news is that the trimming requirements are all within the tolerance of the doors you've just mentioned. For the 820mm width you can remove 1.5mm from each side of the door to reach the size of 817mm. So, the doors you've mentioned will work with your measurements.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Thanks Eric, really appreciate it.

Do you know what the maximum tolerances are for future reference?

Hello @Cronessa

I believe it is generally 3mm on each side and 2mm for top and bottom.
