What varnish for a solid timber desk?

Hi Bunnings,

I have a desk top that is solid Jarrah. Would the product below be a good option for sealing and protecting the timber or something else?

Being water-based, it’s easier to apply, dries relatively quickly, and has lower odour compared to traditional oil-based products. It will both enhance the natural colour of the Jarrah and provide a durable protective layer for everyday use.

A couple of tips to get the best finish: make sure the desk is clean and lightly sanded before applying, and apply thin, even coats. You can lightly sand between coats with 240-grit sandpaper to keep the surface smooth. Depending on how glossy or natural you want the finish, you could do two or three coats.
