Shower Grates - point vs linear drain

Hi everyone,

We have learnt from the web point drain is better what do u guys think ?

With so many choices we are having a hard time to choose..

Like many things in life, there are differing opinions. If you type "Why are linear drains better than point drains" into Google, you'll find an equal amount of information that contradicts what you've found there.

A centre drain is typically the most efficient draining solution, followed by a linear drain. A point drain in a corner is an option, but it's not as common. However, if the shower recess is tiled correctly, all drains would be suitable, and it's more about the style choice you'd like to go with.

All drains are susceptible to being clogged from excess hair and scum; it's just something you need to clean out now and then.

I've heard the linear drains don't drain as well resulting in more muck being left behind in the tray.

Thanks for sharing your query. The advantage of a linear drain is that there is very little chance of accidentally stepping on the outlet and creating a small flood. Like all waste points if it is properly maintained it will provide excellent drainage.
