Sideboard repurposed as ensuite vanity

Sideboard repurposed as ensuite vanity

I designed and created space for an ensuite in my old Queenslander. I repurposed a sideboard as the vanity and bought it all into fruition. I am very happy with the results.  The cut out timber have become my chopping boards.

Re: on point Ensuite

Hello @Natasha71

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's magnificent to have you join us, and thank you for sharing your ensuite project.

What an absolutely gorgeous sideboard. It fits perfectly in your ensuite bathroom project. The tiles, wall colour and the chandelier just bring it all together. A modern classic with elements of old and new but still fits in with the house. What finish did you use for the top of the sideboard? How long did the entire project take you to finish?

Any other information you can share about your build would be highly appreciated.

Again, thank you for sharing your ensuite renovation.

Re: fading paint ensuite vanity

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @SusannahRanggi. Seeing you make your post after being a member for some time is fantastic.

You might like to start a discussion about your bathroom, as many of our members, including myself, are renters. I'm sure we can come up with some ideas that will improve the look of your bathroom and that your landlord will find acceptable. Repainting the floors and a coat of paint on those tiles would be great starts. You'll find that if you offer to do the work and pay for the materials, landlords are generally quite open to having a conversation about improving a property.

I'll be looking forward to seeing what you're able to achieve in this space.

Mitchell
