This 1940s kitchen renovation includes Kaboodle cabinets, a pull-out spice drawer and SpecRite benchtop panels.

The project

We renovated our 1940s kitchen all with Bunnings products. We used Kaboodle cabinets and SpecRite panels for the benchtop with a clear coat. My favourite parts are the old-fashioned tap, and the wire drawer that perfectly fills the gap at the end of the bench and is handy for storing spices. Except for the plumbing and electrical, we did it all ourselves.

Hi did you use some specific panel to put on kitchen cupboards doors or brand new ones from Bunnings? What styles from Bunnings did you use?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @leanam. It's fabulous to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about this amazing project.

Let me mention @Rubes, so they are alerted, and hopefully, they can fill you in. It appears that they might have used the Kaboodle country range of cabinet doors. There doesn't look like any panel has been used over the existing doors; instead, they've been replaced entirely.

@Rubes

Nice kitchen update, I want to do the same and like the streamlined look you have. Love how the floorboards came up, where they under the tiles?

Hi @Dave-1,

Let me mention @Rubes, so they are alerted to your kind comment and question. The floorboards certainly look sensation. I trust that if they were under the tiles, then they must have been quite a treat to find.
