How to replace garage door gap seals?

Hello! I noticed that the rubber (or is it foam?) inserts between the gaps of where the garage door sits has deteriorated.

I plan to replace this, but I'm not sure what product to use. Suggestions are appreciated. Thank you!

Re: How to replace garage door gap seals?

Hi @jr_phqc

The foam you're looking at is called an Expansion Joint Filler. They come in different widths so it's important to have a look at the old filler to see how wide it is.

Another method to seal the gap is to use a combination of Gripset Betta 1L Concrete Crack Filler and Sika 10mm x 50m Abelrod Gap Filler. The backing rod is place in between the gap and is pushed in about 10mm deep, you then apply the concrete filler on top to seal the gap.

I also suggest having a quick look at this discussion - How to close gaps between brick wall and concrete? by @nsavi

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
