I have been very busy over the last few weeks just trying to get the garden through this extremely dry and hot weather we are having. Providing lots of water sources for all creatures big and small is very important job too! I am looking forward to some cooler weather and plan on moving a few of my birdies garden beds,to where they don’t get so much sun! Also I am going to replace the two garden beds in greenhouse with Birdies raised beds. This will make it a lot easier to top up soil with compost etc.
Hubby has been very busy with a new project, replacing and extending our 30 year old verandah. We are replacing the merbau decking with Ekodeck . It is a massive job and Glen is doing so well, he has had help from our builder son in law Dean, who has pointed him in the right direction. The company he works for will be putting up the roof.
This time I will not be having pots on the verandah, but I am creating a space in front with pots, a fountain and garden seat. I’m looking forward to having an easy to clean verandah that doesn’t require staining each year.
