I have an area of garden that is just small stones. I’d like it if they stayed in place. Someone suggested some sort of glue but I don’t know where to start looking and what works - nor how to apply it.

Hello @HillBilly
I recommend looking at the Landscape Lock 2L Concentrated Garden Glue. It is a multipurpose garden adhesive, when sprayed onto mulch, pebbles, dust or pathways it prevents movement by wind and rain for up to 12 months. I suggest using Silvan 5L ECO Hand Sprayer to spray the garden glue. Please make sure to totally rinse the spray bottle so that it does not get clogged up with glue residue.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to apply Landscape Lock to your garden pebbles!

Oh thank you ! Will the stones stay in place if dogs or children run over them?
Also - I’m assuming it’s reapplied annually??
I appreciate your advice!
Hello @HillBilly
It will moderately put up resistance, but if too much force is applied the stones will come loose. Yes, it is applied annually, but sometimes sooner if too much rainwater falls on your garden.

Hi @HillBilly,
I thought I'd also mention that having a defined edging between the stones and lawn will help prevent them from spilling over. You want the edging slightly higher than the stones to contain them, but not so high that it creates a trip hazard.
The edging will also make it much easier to trim along it and get a nice crisp edge to your lawn.
Here's a helpful guide: How to choose garden edging.
