How to add T joint?

Hi Everyone,

I want to add a T into my main water connection. I checked and confirmed it’s a ball valve, and the chrome pipe runs to the whole house filter. The problem is I can’t move the pipes much, and I don’t have any tools for soldering.

What would be the easiest way to add another connection in this situation? Any advice or alternatives would be really helpful.

Re: How to add T joint

Hello @manisingh

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your plumbing.

Please note that any plumbing work must be carried out by a licensed plumber for safety and compliance.

Generally speaking, it is possible to add a "T" to your plumbing. But as I mentioned this is best handled by the plumber, plus it will cost you even more as you don't have any tools to cut, solder and connect the pipework. The plumber has all these tools and the experience to connect it properly. As an alternative, have you considered adding a splitter to your garden tap such as the Pope 2 Way Brass Threaded Tap. You just screw it to the garden tap and you automatically have a second outlet.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
