Im new to gardening and I have a weed problem which I haven’t been able to look after.
I have weeds growing on the edges of my concrete path. The landscaper did put weed mat under the rocks but he dint do a very good job and now there’s a lot of growth around the edges as you can see. Is this normal around concrete ? How can I minimise this?

Hi @akshunk,
Unfortunately, weed mat is not always a perfect solution, especially right up against concrete. Weeds will naturally seek out any gaps they can grow through and the edges around concrete are common areas for small gaps that they can utilise.
I would simply spray the weeds with this Brunnings Path Weeder. Mix it with water in a sprayer bottle such as this Garden Basics Garden Pressure Sprayer, ensuring you follow the mixing ratio closely. This will kill the weeds over 3-4 weeks and will help to prevent further weeds from growing through the same spots.
Apply the weedkiller on a dry windless day to ensure it is not washed or blown away during or soon after application. Wear a mask while applying and keep pets and children away from the area for at least 24 hours.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
