Hi all, I hope someone can point me in the right direction please. I have a Makita whipper snipper and the line keeps being “spit out” by the machine. I had line out on one side but the other was completely gone. I took the unit apart, pulled the line out so it was even on both sides and out the unit back together. When I went to continue snipping, the line was “spat out”. I tried again, this time checking to see if the lines were tight. The same thing happened and I’m now at a loss to what I am doing wrong.
I didn’t spool much line on as in the past we had an issue where the line got tangled and stuck inside the unit, which made taking it apart almost impossible.
Ideally I am hoping someone can direct me to somewhere I can take this machine to and have someone show me how to restring it properly. I don’t expect this for free, just don’t really know where to start. So I am starting here.

Hello @kasiajaye
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your whipper snipper.
On the side or bottom portion of your whipper snipper is the identification plate of the unit. Would it be possible for you post a photo of that I.D. plate and we can try and track down the operator's manual for it. Hopefully there is a line installation video available on the web. I also suggest bringing your whipper snipper to the store and speaking to the senior garden power tool specialist. They will be able to show you how to re-load the line for your whipper snipper and they will also be able to tell if there is anything wrong with the whipper snipper head.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
Eric
Thank you Eric, I wasn’t sure if someone at Bunnings could show me how to put the line on the spool. I will bring it in, thank you so much for replying!!
