Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of weed this is and recommend a weed killer I could use without killing the buffalo grass please? It's only on about the left part of the garden, and there's a LOT of it. It starts off green, and then after a few days it turns white and when I pull it out of the ground, it seems to have a sticky sap on it.

My apologies for the late reply. It might be a type of cudweed; would it be possible for you to please take a photo of the mature weed (specifically your third photo) along with the leaf structure at the bottom of the weed? Once we can identify its structure, we'll be able to confirm what kind of weed it is. 

However, I also see that your lawn is infested with clover, and I therefore suggest using Yates 2.4L BuffaloPro Weed 'N' Feed Hose On Weed Killer.
