I bought a new 2 pack trimmer and blower and the red blade just keeps turning in a circle as the main black drive bit turns as well. I can't see anyway to tighten it.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Hellian. It's brilliant to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about Ozito bladed trimmers.
With the Ozito PXCGTAS 018, the way the red trimmer blades swivel is by design. When the black drive disc spins, the blades aren’t meant to be fixed in one position; they simply clip onto the hub and are free to swivel. As the motor spins up, centrifugal force throws the blades out into their cutting position. The fact that they rotate on the lug while the disc turns is normal and not a problem in itself. The real question is whether the blades are actually extending and cutting when you apply throttle. If they are not, that would indicate a fault that needs attention, but if they are cutting properly, the swivelling you see is just how the mechanism works.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
