Hi All,
I have 2 chilli plant one has white holes and prints on their leaves and one chilli plant has chillies with black print on them. Please suggest how to treat them?
Hi @suni,
Thank you for your question about your chillies.
It looks like it could be leaf spot, which is a fungal issue that can occur in humid environments.
I'd suggest removing the affected leaves and treating the remaining ones with Yates Liquid Copper Fungicide.
I suspect the browning of the chillies could be due to sunscald or a nutrient deficiency.
I'd suggest applying a slow-release fertiliser such as this Scotts Osmocote All Purpose Controlled Release Fertiliser to the base of the plant. This will ensure it has the correct nutrients to fight back against what it is currently experiencing.
I'd also suggest using some shade sail and stakes to create a basic shade structure for your chilli. You could also use a Sun And Insect Plant Cover if your plant is not too tall.
Allow me to tag some of our knowledgeable gardeners, such as @mich1972, @mashthyme and @Noelle to see if they have any advice they can offer.
