I love my gardening and have been buying plants from Bunnings for many many years. I am however, really starting to find it almost impossible to afford plants at Bunnings nowadays. Roses, herbs and vegetables and simple flowers like snapdragons, impatiens and similar have all increased since Covid more than double and I know that this isn’t just Bunnings but even Woolworths and Coles but I think it’s time that something really does change. Everything at Bunnings has increased and some things have increased beyond ridiculous. I hope that Bunnings can be better and start working with the community to make it easier for us to keep ourselves busy with hobbies such as gardening. Without hobbies, people will decline towards depression and I think it’s extremely important for Bunnings to acknowledge this and take action and be proud to be known for affordability.
Hi @amberj31,
Welcome to Bunnings Workshop and I hope that you enjoy and use your time here to the fullest, there are a lot of very switched on people here that can help you out in any way we can.
Not to have a go at you or anything, but buying anything since COVID struck is really hard.
The prices of everything has become quite ridiculous, especially groceries and the like.
If us at Bunnings Workshop can help you in any way. we will try and do this, we are all in this together and we all like to save a bit of money if we can, there isn't a lot to go around at the moment, but there are ways to make efficiencies in the way we do things to save money without cutting corners, every project we undertake has these sorts of things, it is just knowing where to make these.
Thank you for reaching out to us and by all means, if you have a problem with a project you are working on, let us know.
Cheers,
Mike T.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, @amberj31, and a big welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. We truly appreciate your passion for gardening and your long-standing support of Bunnings over the years.
We understand that rising prices can be frustrating. Please know that our team is constantly working to monitor competitors to ensure we offer the widest range at low prices every day.
Our Lowest Prices Policy means that if you find a competitor’s lower price (including GST and delivery charges) on the same in-stock item, we’ll beat it by 10%. Our plants (excluding seedlings and potted colour) are also guaranteed for 12 months, so if you’re not 100% happy, return your plant (with receipt) and we’ll refund it.
We also encourage you to visit your local Bunnings store, where you can take part in our free Make & Take Workshops. They're a great way to stay inspired, learn new skills, and connect with others in your community. Whether you're into gardening, DIY, or craft, there's something for everyone.
If you're looking for inspiration, advice or support with your gardening or DIY projects, the Bunnings Workshop community is a great place to connect with other members, share ideas, and get help from experts and fellow enthusiasts. We’d love to see what you’re working on.
