Product Estimators

Is anyone aware of any resources that could help to estimate the amount of a product needed?

In particular, how many Kg's of rocks to fill a path area, how much dirt (bags/Kg's, etc.) to fill a garden bed with dirt or potting mix, how much concrete to do a slab of certain dimensions, etc.

It would be great to have a list of all of these resources available as ready reckoners.

Re: Product Estimators

Yeah it's worked out through volume not through weight. Sometimes the bags will tell you their volume. Certainly if you're buying from a garden/building supplies place they'll work in volume.

Re: Product Estimators

These links are great and really help. I also found some on the Cement Australia site such as the below that will esitmate the number of pre-mix bags needed.

They also appear to have esimators for mortar as well.
