Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

I am looking to hopefully do something similar to this image of the Miele appliances in my renovation project using Kaboodle kitchen products, but am not sure I can do it.

Let's assume the following conditions;

- It will consist of 2 columns (or in Kaboodle terms 'towers')

- I don't want anything showing between the appliances hence can't just stick 2 oven towers together (but hoping to somehow combine them and still be structurally sound and able to handle the heat)

- Only want the outer panels on the outside of the 2 columns (none in the middle as would be needed to achieve gaps between appliances)

- Column 1 will have built-in microwave, steam oven and vacuum seal draw (all of which can't be boxed, I believe)

- Column 2 will have built-in coffee machine, oven and warming drawer (all of which can't be be boxed, I believe)

- Not sure if can have any horizontal pieces without them being visible.

- Height requirement of these are 455 then 596 then 141 in respective order and base on a Miele example (not sure which brand I will be using yet)

- All to to suit a 600 space having 595 in the dimensions spec.

- Note there is a decent difference in the heights I need and what comes with the tower kit.

Note that I am aware that I listed 3 built-in appliances in each column/tower and the image only has 2 of these.

Would anyone be able to help me understand how I would be able to achieve such a configuration using the Kaboodle products, if it is even possible?

Re: Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Hello @kris_p

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thank you so much for joining us and sharing your question can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances.

Before I make any recommendations, would it be possible for you to post the make and model of your oven? I have seen it done with the 600mm oven towers, but I will have to ask Kaboolde if it can be done with larger appliances such as a double 900mm oven. I've always placed spacers in my kitchen design as a form of insulation. I will have to confer with our provider to make sure it is safe to have oven towers next to each other without the finishing panel.

It sounds like you are planning a very interesting kitchen. Are you just adding the oven towers or is it a brand new layout? Please keep us updated, any photos or details of your kitchen project would be much appreciated.

Re: Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Hi @EricL,

Thank you for coming back to me.

The existing kitchen will be completely removed and done from scratch again with new appliances.

We haven't selected the appliances as yet but from what I can see most of them are pretty standard. I think there might have been a mix up about the double ovens though, as I meant 2 ovens placed side-by-side rather than the double ovens that come as a single unit. For this exercise if we can possibly assume the following appliances (I think if it changes it shouldn't be too different).

Tower #1 will have; on top the 'bosch-cmg633bb1a-60cm-compact-oven' and the 'bosch-hrg6769b2a-60cm-built-in-oven' below it. I'm thinking if budget allows to also have the 'bosch-bic630nb1a-14cm-built-in-warming-drawer' below the oven as well.

Tower #2 will have; on top the 'bosch-serie-8-built-in-fully-automatic-coffee-machine-ctl636eb6-black' and the 'bosch-hbg633bb1b-60cm-built-in-oven' below it. Again to make it symmetrical and if budget allows I look to see if we have another 'bosch-bic630nb1a-14cm-built-in-warming-drawer' below the oven here as well.

Note I would like to know how to get it working with and without that 3rd appliance (warming draw) in each tower to get them at the standard 2200mm height (inline with the other wall cabinets)

My 2 challenges are;

a) putting them side-by-side without the 2 pantry panels (as I like them to look like the Miele photo attached in the original post)

b) getting the right cabinets/draws included to get that height

Thanks, I look forward to reading your comments.

Re: Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Hello @kris_p

Thank you for providing the make and model of your appliances. I've spoken to Kaboodle and I've been informed that the oven tower is only for a single stand-alone installation. They are not built for side-by-side installation, even with the insulation panels. I've also called Bosch and they were not able to provide any guides concerning oven tower cabinets. I will be calling another department of Bosch on Monday, they may have more information concerning oven tower cabinets. I'll get back to you as soon as I have more information.

I've made a diagram below of what it might look like once you have the Bosch appliances installed. For illustration purposes, I've based the measurements on default flatpack cabinetry. If you were to engage the services of a professional kitchen cabinet maker, you could have this particular section custom-built. I will ask my colleagues at other stores and see if they've made designs with double oven towers side by side.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Re: Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Hi @EricL ,

Thanks once again, I will take all this into consideration.

Sounds like I will need to get cabinet maker to make these towers and ensure I can use the Kaboodle doors etc to keep the look all consistent if I go with this double oven idea. Worst case and probably the simplest will be to just do one tower with microwave and oven.

Lets see how it all goes, know that I know what I'm up against.

Last couple questions on this though;

1) I see that you have a drawer or panel of 210mm in height, is this a standard part? can you provide me a reference to it?

2) What did you use to draw this as it doesn't look like the standard Kaboodle planner I was using and wanted to see if there was another that I can use with some more features (like having the actual appliances referenced)

Re: Can Kaboodle kitchen products support multiple built-in appliances?

Hello @kris_p

The 210mm panel will have to be specially ordered as a custom-cut panel. I recommend speaking to your In-Store Kitchen Specialist to confirm the door sizes before placing your order. Please note that ordering this type of panel is only applicable to the modern range of Kaboodle. It doesn't apply to doors with features on them. However, you can cut the drawers front but your builder will have to have the experience and specialist tools to cut vacuum laminated doors.

I'm using Sketchup and it allows you to do quick mockups. It's great for making sketches but it does not place any detail on what you put in it.

Please keep us updated, we are keen to see the start of your kitchen renovation.
